An intriguing, lovely Crown Trifari set in brushed and polished goldtone metal. The brooch looks like a stylized sea anemone or sea plant, with waving, flowing tendrils. Matching earrings are reminiscent of a nautilus shape and continue the curving style of the brooch. Really a striking set, ideal for wear with fall & holiday fashions. Solid pieces with Trifari quality. Carries the Crown Trifari mark with copyright symbol. Brooch measures about 2¼″ high x 1¾″ wide; earrings are about 1″ x ¾″. Excellent condition, almost no signs of wear on any of the pieces. There is one small mark on one of the polished “tendrils.” Since the rest of the piece is in such wonderful shape, this could have been inherent in the manufacturing. |

Striking 60's black & white necklace! Goes great with the black & white shell listed on this page. Bold, but not overbearing. The white beads are ceramic, approx. 8 to 9 mm each, almost certainly hand made. Round black spacer disks are glass. But, what sets this piece apart from similar ones are the three large brushed metallic beads. These silvery or nickel-tone beads add a different twist. Center one is very big--about 18 mm; the two side ones, about 15 mm. Beads are strung on wire. Clasp is sterling (marked), as are the two small melon beads at each end. The unusual clasp is a patented design (apparently dating to the late 60s). The "loop" end is shaped to fit the spring mechanism of the hook; to clasp, simply use that end to depress the spring, and the loop just slips into the hook. You can do this one-handed; it's the easiest clasp assembly I've ever seen! Necklace is approx. 25" long; excellent condition. |

Beautiful matching set of rhinestone dress & earring clips! It's extremely rare to find a matching set: Marcia "Sparkles" Brown shows only two in her book "Unsigned Beauties of Costume Jewelry." Dress clip is nearly identical to the one on the cover of the "Antique Trader Jewelry Price Guide," 2nd Ed., 2007. That's in sapphire-colored stones, this blue is like a fine aquamarine or blue zircon stone. Based on the patent number, I date this set ca. 1931 to 1948, most likely the middle part of that period. Set in plated (possibly rhodium) pot metal, dress clip features 18 large navette rhinestones, each approx. 15 x 8 mm. |

This circa 1930’s rhinestone brooch is lovely. Its three circles are set with clear rhinestones (approx. 2.5 mm each) all around, and bead trim and accents on the setting make it sparkle even more. Brooch measures 1 1/2” L x 3/4” W overall; each circle, 1/2” inside dia. Very good to excellent condition, exhibiting the normal signs of wear you’d expect in a piece this age. No missing or dead stones, though 3 or 4 have faint yellowing. “C” clasp is tight and solid. The pot metal base shows some discoloration/wearing of the plating. |

Ledo (Polcini after the early 1960s) jewelry is harder to find than many brands of costume jewelry, and is of very high quality. These earrings are detailed & realistic, with a striking three-dimensional center floret— a black convex disc with individual black "stems" tipped in gold. A classic Coro design in pastel pink, great for the Coro collector, or a wonderful gift item for the gal who loves pink! Ten curved-top moonglow cabochons are set onto bright goldtone links with curved frames. Measures about 7 1/4" around. Carries the Coro Pegasus mark. The style dates to 1956, when it appeared in Coro advertisements. Excellent condition. Cabs and goldtone finish on the outside have minimal wear, virtually unnoticeable. Reverse side typically shows a bit more finish wear. Safety chain and fold-over clasp are solid. |

Though these weren’t originally a set, they look so great together that I’ve paired them. The pin, c. 1950s, is from my own collection; I’ve had it about 20 years and have only worn it a few times. Glass stone is prong set into a decorative surround. There are 3 goldtone, intertwined circles—one textured, two smooth. Though not marked, I believe this is gold filled, but it’s not been tested, so I can’t say for sure. Near mint. Approx. 1¼″ dia; stone is 8 to 9 mm. The screwback earrings are set in sterling silver (marked) and are from the estate of Irene Saltern, noted California sportswear designer, from her personal jewelry collection. The stones are plastic, not glass, but have the clarity and sparkle of fine rhinestones. Very large—about 11 to 12 mm. Excellent condition, with just a bit of tarnish to the sterling settings. |

Beautiful 1980’s YSL (Yves St. Laurent) earrings are crafted in a goldtone setting with a sunburst design, set into which are lusciously creamy faux “mabe” pearls. The goldtone metal is of high quality, and the finish on the slightly domed centers is smooth & silky. The motif on the setting is dimensional, adding some extra panache′. These earrings are large, as befits such a quintessential 80’s style; measure approx. 1 5/16” in dia. Excellent+ condition. Appear rarely or barely worn. One center “pearl” has a very small scratch in the finish, virtually unnoticeable. |

Wow— fabulous 1950’s Coro “Moonray” style thermoset hard-to find full parure in emerald green. Wonderful set for a spring prom! Choker/necklace, earrings, and bracelet with thermoset cabochons set in a lovely curved design. The geometric shape of the cabs combined with the flowing setting reminds one of art modern styling. The bright silvertone (chrome-plated, I believe) setting is more ornate than the typical Moonray pieces, such as the pink bracelet below (which is still a lovely piece itself!). The earrings in particular are larger and more strikingly set than most I’ve seen. They measure approx. 1⅛″ long x 1″ wide. Bracelet, which has safety chain intact, is about 7⅛″ long, clasped. The choker or necklace fastens with hook & chain, and is about 14″ at its shortest clasped length, 17″ at the longest. Pieces in excellent to near-mint condition. Minimal wear to all, with a bit more to the chain fastener on the choker—which would be normal. rl” has a very small scratch in the finish, virtually unnoticeable. |

This fresh-as-spring 3-strand choker is just lovely, and such a wearable piece! It’s fashioned of faux pearl beads in varying shades of peach, the palest of yellow faux pearl beads, and swirled peaches and cream art-glass beads. Goldtone spacer beads and decorative goldtone clasp ends finish the look off beautifully. The beads are graduated, with the largest center round ones about 13 mm, and the center art-glass piece about 14 mm long. Unlike some vintage chokers, this isn’t tiny and can be worn as a longer neckpiece as well as choker length. At its shortest clasped length, the shortest strand measures approx. 15" long, at its longest, about 17 1/2”. Marked Hong Kong. In near-mint condition. I see no signs of wear and would guess this was worn no more than once or twice. |

Vintage late 70’s or early 80’s Avon “Frosted Cooler” bangle bracelet and matching earrings in “Melon.” The pink of this is really like the flesh of a watermelon, a cool refreshing look for spring & summer! While the bangles seem to be readily available, the earrings do not appear to be, and matching sets seem to be rare. These pieces feature goldtone insets and a ribbed design. The pierced earrings have post backs with butterfly fasteners. Bangle measures about 2 7/8″ diameter, the earrings about 1 1/4″ x 3/4″ across. All pieces are in near-mint condition, nice enough to give for a gift to a friend who appreciates all vintage jewelry or who loves to collect Avon pieces. |
