This ca. early 70's bag was made in Japan by Jana, which also made Pucci purses and bags. Though not as flashy as the Pucci styles, the Jana-only labeled bags are widely recognized as being of very high quality and are very sought after in the vintage world. And harder to find than those of many other makers. This wood-bead purse exhibits the hippie/boho influence of its day, but isn’t over the top. It’s classic enough for everyday use—a perfect summer bag! Its handle of wood beads and chain sections is convertible from shoulder strap to hand strap, making it even more versatile. On either side, there’s a dimensional-effect bead pattern at the top. Has zip-close top with bead-loop pull, jute lining with pleated pocket. Measures approx. 6 1/2" H x 10" L. Drop on shoulder strap is about 13 1/2 ". Bag is in excellent condition: no missing, loose, or damaged beads; very clean interior. |

Vintage 60's Italian Crocheted Raffia or Straw Purse, Bag; Huge Double Ball Clasp |

This ca. 1960's crocheted raffia bag was crafted in Italy, and features a fabulous double-ball clasp. In shades of cream, tan, and brown, it’s perfect for spring and summer. Very nicely made, with a hand-stitched-in lining that is a lovely, yet sturdy, lustrous fabric (perhaps a linen/silk blend). The bright goldtone ball clasps look to have been hand cut and pieced (see close-up shots). Has one open interior pocket, double handle, and four protective brass feet on bottom. Measures approx. 8 3/4" high (without clasp) x 8 1/2" wide x 2 1/2” deep (front to back at bottom). 4 1/2” drop from handle top to frame. Excellent condition. Lining is absolutely pristine, and clasp shows a bit of wear and some tarnish. Appears to have not been used very much at all. |

Vintage Atlas Princess Charming Large Wicker & Vinyl Seashell Purse with Lucite Trim ON HOLD |

This ca. 1950’s/1960's white vinyl and vinyl-coated wicker purse was made in Hong Kong for Princess Charming by Atlas of Hollywood, FL. These were extremely popular tourist and resort kitsch in their day, and are highly collectible today. Great summer bag for carrying, or use as a display piece. The front panel has a seascape with real shells under clear plastic, trimmed with metallic-inset rick-rack. Also features white pearlized swirled Lucite handle and frame with top clasp, thin vinyl-coated wicker strips and wide vinyl bands, hinged bottom. Interior is vinyl, with two open compartments, one open pocket, and a zippered middle pocket. Oversized, at approx. 8 1/2″ high (without clasp) x 12 1/4″wide at widest point x 3 3/4″ deep (front to back at bottom). 4″ handle drop. Near-mint condition. Virtually no wear to exterior, pristine interior. Clear window has no holes, rips, etc. Appears to have not been used very much, if at all. Please note that this is a large, heavy purse, thus the higher-than-usual shipping cost. |

Vintage Walborg Ivory Hand-Beaded Bridal or Evening Bag or Clutch Purse |

This ca. 1960's bag by Walborg was hand beaded in Hong Kong, and is simply lovely! The center design has a deco look to it, while the rest of the bag features more subtle patterns. Perfect to carry with an ivory wedding gown or other special-occasion formal dress. The silk lining is ivory, and the beads are a lighter off white. Please view the other photos for how this compares to a true-white purse. The photos show this a bit darker/yellower than it is in person, but when lightened for accuracy, the details of the beading don’t show. The goldtone chain handle can be used as a double handle or a shoulder strap, or tucked into the bag so you can carry it as a foldover clutch. Interior has one small open pocket. and a zippered middle pocket. Approx. 6 3/4″ high (without clasp) x 6″wide at widest point x 1 1/4″ deep (front to back at bottom). Excellent condition. No missing or loose beads. Some light soil on the interior. Fabric was slightly pulling away from the frame at the hinges, so I have taken some neat stitches there to alleviate the problem. Bag is in ready-to-carry condition! |

This ca. early 60's bag was made in Spain and private labeled for El Corte Ingles ("The English Cut"), Spain's largest department-store chain. Its two-tone beige & brown coloring is suitable for year-round use, and its classic styling is perfect for carrying every day. While many older bags aren't sturdy enough to cart around all the stuff we do today, this is. Its double strap, roomy compartments, and substantial metal hard-ware are durable enough to carry today’s woman’s necessities. There are two outer pleated pockets, large center compartment with clasp, and one open compartment on each side of the center. Tough vinyl interior, with one open pocket and one zippered one. Measures approx. 8 3/4" H x 10 1/4" W x 3 7/8 D (front to back at bottom). Handles are 7 3/4" high from where they attach. |

Wonderfully whimsical bag is from Lumured and made in the U.S.A., ca. 1960s. These Lumured beaded bags were made in many different styles and are great for spring and summer. This is fashioned of tiny white plastic beads overall, including the handle; body is accented with of clear-beaded squares embroidered with a sweet pink & green floral pattern. Lined in silky faille fabric with two small slip pockets that are edged in gold piping. Near-mint condition, possibly unused. I see no flaws or sings of wear. Goldtone frame and kiss lock are bright, no finish loss. Pristine interior. A very nice size, at approx. 8 1/2" high (not incl. clasp) x 9 1/4"; 5 3/4” drop from handle top to frame. |
